Suitable for

tap water containing sediment, rust, or residual chlorine; raw groundwater or surface water with color or odor; and as pre-treatment for all pure water systems.

Working Principle

First, mechanical screening, adsorption, and entrapment are achieved using a multi-layer refined quartz sand filter medium.
Next, the process utilizes the physical adsorption and microporous entrapment capabilities of coconut shell activated carbon—which features an exceptionally large specific surface area—to firmly capture residual chlorine, odor molecules, organic compounds, and pigments as the water flows through the carbon layer.
Finally, cation exchange resin is used to adsorb calcium and magnesium ions from the water, converting hard water into soft water.

Changeover/Cleaning/Maintenance

  • Annual Media Replacement

Replace quartz sand every 1.5–2 years (or annually if feed water quality is poor). Replace activated carbon every 10–14 months; immediate replacement is required if residual chlorine levels exceed limits or if the effluent develops an odor. Replace resin every 3–5 years (or every 2–3 years if feed water quality is poor).

  • Model Upgrade

If production capacity needs to increase or raw water becomes more turbid, the system can be upgraded with larger tanks and thicker filtration layers.

Effluent is yellow or cloudy?

Filter media aging, incomplete backwashing, or sand leakage due to a damaged water distributor; requires forced backwashing or media replacement.

Effluent has an odor or excessive residual chlorine?

Activated carbon is saturated or spent; requires replacement.

Effluent hardness exceeds limits or scaling persists?

Failure to regenerate on time, insufficient salt, resin aging/exhaustion, or valve control program errors.

Water softener fails to regenerate automatically?

Loss of valve parameters, incorrect time settings, or power outage.
