Applicability boundaries

Products
Multipacking rigid PET bottles or beverage cans

Packaging Materials
PE shrink film

Application
high-volume, end-of-line beverage bundling; alternative to cardboard cartons.
Working Principle
Bottle conveying and grouping → PE film unwinding and wrapping → Sealing and cutting → Hot air shrinking tunnel heating → PE film shrinks to tightly bundle the group of bottles/cans → Cooling and setting.
Core components

PE film unwinding system with constant tension mechanism

Bottle grouping and spacing mechanism;conveyor chain/belt
handles automatic bottle alignment, fixed-interval grouping, and tip-over prevention

Sealing and cutting assembly with Teflon-coated sealing blade
performs sealing and cutting operations

Photoelectric detection system; PLC + HMI control
Optional
01
Electrostatic elimination device for film; color mark registration for printed PE film
02
Automatic waste film take-up unit to maintain a tidy workshop
03
Quick-change tooling and multi-specification grouping stops
Changeover/Cleaning/Maintenance
Changeover
Ensure safety via lockout/tagout; replace grouping blocks, guide rails, and bottle-hold-down mechanisms; load the recipe via the HMI and adjust settings such as pack count, film length, seal/cut delay, oven temperature, and conveyor speed; perform a test run to adjust package centering, verify the absence of torn film or loose packaging, and save the parameters.
Cleaning
Daily: Clean accumulated film residue and carbon deposits from sealing blades, as well as debris from conveyor chains. Per shift: Remove accumulated film scraps and dust from the shrink tunnel. Regularly blow out air-cooling filters. Prohibit direct high-pressure water spraying on electrical cabinets, photoelectric sensors, and heating components; use a specialized high-temperature-resistant scraper to remove burnt residue from sealing blades.
What is the cost difference between PE film bundling and cardboard cartons?
For high-volume operations, the material cost of PE film bundling is significantly lower than that of cartons; however, it offers less impact resistance, making it best suited for short-distance transit and retail sales of multi-packs.
What causes loose bundling, poor film shrinkage, or film tearing?
Check the following first: ① Insufficient or uneven oven temperature/airflow; ② Improper film tension; ③ Abnormal sealing blade temperature or burrs on the cut edge; ④ Unstable bottle grouping or toppled bottles.
What are the standard production capacity and grouping configurations?
Customizable output of 8–35 packs/minute; common configurations include 2×3, 3×4, and 4×6, with layouts customizable to client requirements.
Can the system handle integrated bundling with a cardboard base tray?
Yes; an optional automatic tray feeding mechanism allows for integrated wrapping of the tray and PE film, making it suitable for aluminum cans and heavy bottles.
